Art & Pottery Camps: Sign Up Now!

Art and pottery camps at The Blooming Paintbrush Studio are a combination of fun and learning. All learning happens through doing hands-on projects. Camp sizes are kept small in order to provide individualized attention. Projects are varied.

Age range for summer camp is 5 and up. All materials are included for all the camps. Students can do either morning or afternoon sessions. There is a discount of $25 for double registration, that is if you enroll for both the morning and afternoon camps. The kids can stay over during the lunch hour. A snack will be provided during morning and afternoon but please pack a sack lunch, if your kids stay over for lunch. I have other camp councilor besides me. If weather permits we have fun with water activities in my garden. I have a beautiful and fenced-in garden where the campers are free to explore and do outdoor activities.

Art Camps

Art camps (9am-12noon) for kids are offered during summer break. Each camp session runs for 5 days (Mon-Fri). Cost: art camps: $300 per session. All materials and tools are provided. We will do four to five projects which includes Papier mache mask, and an acrylic painting amongst others.

Pottery Camps

Pottery camps (1pm-4pm) for kids are offered during summer break. Each camp session runs for 5 days (Mon-Fri). Cost: pottery camps: $300 per session. Projects will cover different construction methods like hand-built (slab, coil, pinched, molds, sculptures) and wheel-thrown, terracotta and glazes. Use of wheel and kiln are included. All materials and tools are provided. Your child will bring home as many as he or she can make, finished and glazed. For pottery the finished pieces will be given after 4-6 weeks after they are fired and glazed. Clay takes time to dry. It cannot be fired until it is very dry.
